All of my signs are engraved on 1/2 inch outdoor grade sign wood that is resin coated to keep the wood from splintering or fading. I hand paint each sign with 2-3 coats of exterior paint and seal with a UV protectant, weather resistant sealer on both the front and back of the sign.
